The best way to get ridd of spam is to???

don't just move the e-mail to a junk folder, get my e-mail address clean from "lists"

don't say change e-mail address

i use spampal, its free, no resorces, and works great. really great.

- Use an email program and set rules.

- If it is a personal account (not available to everybody), accept mail from only people in your address book.

- Have multiple email addys. One for personal use (use rule aforementioned) and one that is public. I have 4.

I used to get tons of SPAM, got tired of it, and set up a whitelist (which I found to be more effective than a blacklist). Once in a while, I'll check my SPAM folder just to see if anything important got sent there, but usually, everything goes where it's supposed to. Like Wiz said, setting up rules in your email program is the best way, some also have selective blockers that block email that contain words that you can add such as "viagra" et al.

Thunderbird has a built-in spam filter. You have to teach it to recognice spam, but after teaching it's very powerful. I haven't got any spam in a year.

Yes I know, but it's "only" but the spam away, it don't get my e-mail clean from the spam lists.. Thanks anyway =)
