I was wondering of it possible to make some "trick" with the internet connections in Windows XP. I've a computer at the office wich I take home, but at home I've another one with internet connection. Now, I connect the laptop (the one I take home) to the desktop (the one at home) with a IEEE 1394 cable and I use a proxy to give internet to the laptop. The problem is that each time I'm at home I need to configure the laptop connection in "internet setting" to work with the proxy server (also for IM), but when I'm in the office I need to configure the laptop again to have a connection to internet with the LAN net...
So (uffff) my question is if is possibel to make some connection that recognize if I'm using the proxy or the LAN and connect to interet with that one? without me changing again and again... and again...
