Album art for the entire album...

maybe an avetunes update where by dragging albumart to the widget it changes the entire album's art as opposed to the playing song? It get's tedious switching back and forth to itunes whenever an album comes up just to switch the art.

Maybe have an option to switch between the song and album too, just in case we want seperate art.

bah

all this excitement about SpaceShipOne is not good for the heart and ****ies unfortunally pay for it :P

but that doesn`t change the fact that sometimes people just sit, scratch their ass and request instead of doing/learning how to do something on their own ;)

Was it really that bad of a request aleks? It would be kind of nice to have it add album art to a whole album. It doesnt have to have anything to do with your playlist. :P It could just add art to all tracks that have that album tag.

:) But give the guy a break.. he is allowed to make requests.

go into itunes

click the first track of the album

shift + click the last track

right click > get info

drag album art

all tracks in that album have covers!

or, select an album, shift + scroll down from track 1 to track x (the last one) and drag the album art to the window that says "Drag Album Art Here". That adds artwork to all the tracks you selected.

actually I know quite well how to change album art for the entire album, and it's much easier than selecting all the tracks, you just select the album in the browse view.

Thank you bzeitler for contributing.

For those of you hating me because I'm a junior member, please don't. I happen to be a long time(pushing 3 years actually) administrator/moderator at the www.bikeguide.org forums (yes BMX, totally unrelated, but still), so I know everyone likes to pick on the new guy, but at the same time it's rather unecessary.

I made a simple suggestion, and while yes, I probably could spend my own time and brush up on some programming and do it, I figured why not let the professionals handle it and end up with a much higher quality result.

Am I lazy because I don't want to open iTunes to change an Album's art, or would it just be convienent if I didn't have to? I guess that's up to you guys to decide, but I leave you with this: Are you guys really so lazy that you have to have a widget to control iTunes when you can just right click the tray icon or open it, or is it just convienent?

I'm not trying to start anything or be rude, but I just wanted to show how I see it.

Actually a perfectly reasonable request - easy and fast to implement. I'll forward a code snippet doing exactly this to Andreas this evening and things shall be seen after. And I'll implement it into my iTunes 46 Docklet/Desklet too. Of course this code must take into account that some tracks may already have album art, may have no album title at all and a user setting / asking if it'll go for defaultly assigning the same art to entire albums or not. Also, an adjustable scaling and jpeg compression should keep the image size small.

This is why I like this board so much: Its dedicated folks coming up with ideas for the improvement of software. Free software, and you can quote me on that, is not only free in the respect of cost, but also free from the corporate agenda - all those obstacles between the producer and the consumer, euphemistics like "market demand/survey/whatever", "corporate design" or "shareholder value", simply don't get a chance to butt in.

AveDesk rocks!
