I use Creative MediaSource because I have a Zen Xtra Mp3 player, and I want to play off of the player so I don't use harddrive space. The problem is that I can't get my player to work with iTunes or Winamp.
I bet it would be easy to just modify the itunes, but I have no knowledge of programming. If anyone is making one (doubt it) or if anyone could lead me in the direction in making my own, I would greatly appreciate it.
If this player can be mounted as a hard drive, then it should be no problem. You could let WinAmp or iTunes manage the contents of the pluggable HD.
If this player is like iTunes, which doesn't store the mp3 files in externally readable format, it'll get tough. Good luck.
I though of that, but creative desided to be an ass about it. They hid the player so that it can only be detected by CreativeMedia player, and the special Nomad Explorer. I tried to use it with Itunes, but it just copied the songs to my harddrive. Thanks for the comment though.
I was thinking about hacking into the firmware to change that, but I have no idea how to and I can't find anyone out the that uses the thing and has the same problem as me.
I've found a temporary solution. I found a plug-in for it so that it works with Winamp. Works great. 
It was just a little hard to find.
