Aqua-Soft ForumsIn the itunes(EDIT** it used to say winamp, im stupid) multiplugin it had an option to have iTunes recognize multimedia keyboard buttons when not focused. Problem with the multi plugin is that it cranked iTunes up to 36mb wether it was shown or hidden. Took me a whiel to figure out why, but after completely reinstalling itunes tryign it with and without the plugin, I determined it to be the absolute source of the problem.
That being said, maybe the next version of avetunes could recognize the keyboard buttons for some added ease and functionality.
