I've been soaking in the new board - looking for new toys and noticed the 'Add to Users Reputation' button. Quite a good idea, but is it something that will be staying or lost when the board is 'overhauled'?
Also can anyone elaborate on its actual use/uses.
I think it's a good idea. You can give helpful members a higher rating, while you can show which members aren't so helpful/pleasant to have around by reducing their rating.
I have 10 Reputation points, But I don't know If this is good or bad :cool:
oo man this board has the rep buttons too. someones bound to complain for having a low rep. just wait and watch hehe. they have its ups dand downs

interesting. i wonder if this feature will stick, or if it will be removed like the "respect" feature.
i would like to see the rep pts on the posts, mebe under post counts like the purephotoshop.net forum
Er, I must be blind. Where can you see the actual numbers?
if you go to purephotoshop.net, view a thread and it will say 'Reupation points: X' under their name
Unless there is an incentive for lots of reputation points, or a detterent for having less than *insert number here*, the points won't function. I just hope they dont turn into another type of post-count-squares, where people brag about how many the have, or ask people to give them points just so they can reach 10000 etc. (just my two schilings xD)

I can honestly say I've never seen anyone brag about their post counts (well not seriously). Some of us may feel inadequate by our lack of sqaures - but I'm not going to start on one of those post count ***** threads.
This maybe an opportunity for all members to actually think before they post - which in turn may help reduce the amount of junk cluttering the forum.

i'm not sure how many people will use it. i hardly used the respect feature before. it's just not that important to me.

Ah, thanks wookie. If you haven't any any feedback at all (ie Me ) then you don't see the box in your screenshot.
i think i somehow gave it to myself, not sure... i clicked on the little button to see what it would do and then it said i had 11 points...
i have 12 points, oot oot

Uhm... I don't think people have ever had the ability to delete their posts, not on invision, not here. That's a mod-only function, I'm pretty sure
Members have never had the ability to delete posts, but for people that can, all you do is select edit post, and its at the top .
Topic deleted, umm..moved.
I'd like to have it. I mean 'reputation' button. IMO it's a very relevant way to valuate people. More relevant than 'thank you' posts because it shows up in every thread you post.
