Question Regarding Explorer Skinning...

Hello!

I don't know is this **** Q or not, I really searched and searched and searched, but I couldn't find anywhere info on this... :give up:

I wanna change two sidebar colours of the Explorer (XP)...the ones when "Search" is on (i.e. Search Companion).

Take a look at the picture...to better understand what I ask:

example.jpg

I changed everthing, skinned all you can skin...but I can't find info on how to change these backgrounds...

It's probably some stupid string resource in who knows what dll, just like string resource for background colour of the "Image and Fax Viewer" (this changes background colour when in "Filmstrip VIew" as well)

Please, if someone knows anything about this...please, please...help would be really appreaciated!

Thanks a lot!

Did you try browselc.dll ? I think this might be it, although I could be wrong.

Sid sounds more sure, so I'd go with his :D . If you can't find anything, though, check my answer.

I'm off.

Well, I found sort good tutorial on shellstyle.dll on CoolX site...it doesn't say anything about this one...it says everthing about the rest of this bar and more about UIFILE and a lot more...but nothing about this one...some maybe I'll go look at browselc.dll...but it could be anywhere....like that backgound colour I mentioned in starting post....string resource not in UIFILE or ....

Anyway, thanks guys...really appreaciated....but I wait for somebody who maybe has more experience with this crap... :D

Stupid M$...they really don't know how to organize stuff...it would be much easier for all if things that are supposed to go together ...can be foind at one place...

Cheers!

gotta go :sh!t:
