[help] Can Not Add Songs To Itunes

It seems like I have so many problems with windows lately lol.

Anyway the problem is that when I add songs on iTunes it freezes. I reinstalled and restarted with no difference. And I also can't access the check for update, even though I can go to the music store.

Does it freeze, then crash? Are you adding songs by drag-n-drop, or using the import function? Are you using any plugins?

More info, please :D.

By the import function

Plugins:

M-plugin, Samurize Plugin

Neither checked.

It freezes, but I didnt wait long enough to see if it crashes.

The update error only says:

The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection, or try again later.

Try removing the plugins from the iTunes folder, and then try importing. After that, try dragging and dropping a song instead of using the import function.

The update error isn't as important at the moment, as it doesn't directly affect the app's performance. However, if you have a firewall, make sure you either add iTunes to the allowed list, or disable it and then try accessing the update server.

Ok I found something strange, but first, dragging and dropping works. The weird thing is the import works too, but it adds the song then it freezes.

So, are there any problems left to fix, or is this all?

Nope just the import freezing thing, but I'll drag-n-drop from now on...until that stops working too anyway :P

Thanks for the help

i've had a similliar problem, not the same but simillar, while runnin vanim. itunes didnt like the vanim hook pokin into its dialogs wich appear when adding, importing and drag'n'droppin or anything else really. so if you are usin vanim it could be it.

Nope not running vanim, if fact I don't think I am running any more programs than when it was still working properly...weirdness.

Greetings

I'm bettin' someone has fixed this issue already.

When i import one of my own store bought CDs i get TWO choices to pick from - it finds TWO song lists on the web and gives me a pick - both look the same. I pick the first and it turns out this song list is in Japanese.

I load the second CD (of my store bought set) and it again gives me two CD title choices - i pick the second one this time and get a good song list in English for CD#2.

My question is how can i remove the song list for CD#1 and get the two choices again to pick what i believe is English. Deleting the songs and reloading the CD now defaults to ONLY the Japanese song list.

Is there a file i can rename and force it to give me the two choices again?

many thanks
