Aqua-Soft ForumsI haven't released anything based on someone else's initial work before so I've got a question: I have a number of icons I've created from images found on google image search that I posted with my latest desktop. These icons have drawn numerous pms, comments, requests, etc so I'd like (and apparently other people would like me) to release 'em. Trouble is I'm not sure I'd even be able to find some of the original images again and figuring out who to ask for permission would be pretty tricky anyways, they're sourced from whatever site had the best looking image for what I wanted... So can I simply release them with a disclaimer to the effect that the original images were not created by me, I merely added transparency/shadows, resized them as tidy little png/icos and packaged em up?

sad but i think u would need to get the permissions :cry: to make a public release
