Irish Rock?

This is going to sound like a strange request, and I've really never heard anything like this before, but this morning I was listening to the radio, and I heard some irish type of music (like the riverdance stuff) but in a rock tune. It sounded pretty damn nice.

Does anyone know any songs that are like this? Or bands, or whatever type of genre this is?

My 80's is getting old so I need a new tune lol.

old Pogues albums rock hard, man. Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash is freaking amazing, as is Hell's Ditch. not hard, but hands down the best touring traditional irish group = The Chieftans.
