Im sure Tim will sort this out ASAP.
Thank you for pointing it out and apologies to anyone offended by those links.
It's actually been happening a fair bit. Usually comes from the same address several times, then another address several times.
You won't believe how many sites i've already blacklisted, and reported.
It just doesn't stop
.
It is, after all, spam... :sighs:
maybe adding all sorts of porno and explicit words to the block list will help ![]()
i dont see any "bad" words in those links so your idea wouldn't work ![]()

And there's a problem?

It is when 90% of the community are 12yr olds, I KID I KID!
I think this sorta thing pretty much validates my idea for implementing various input filters... Staff could identify what should be considered good (and shown), or bad (and removed), and the system would ask their opinions less and less frequently (yes, I'm talking about bayesian filtering)...
i saw anal-creampie.doctorfem.com and like ewwww
hmm, that's not as bad as the steak and cheese site if you know what I'm talking about...
Enough! Hopefully this will be sorted out. I dont even know how that would come about? What does it mean by referers?
Referers are sites who have links to you, and "recent referers" are those sites that a user has recently followed a from. Referal can, however, be easily faked, and spammers often programmatically access a site with a given site as their referer, such that their site will come up in the recent referers list. Basically, it's an attempt to get their Google PageRank nice and high by using others' rank.
Steven Johnson discusses this more fully on Wired.
There are, of course, ways to beat comment/referrer spam... Many of which I plan on implementing.
Topic Closed.
There's no point continuing this discussion, because I'm gonna fix it soon.
