This is gonna be the last screenshot for awhile.

Window borders are too big for me. Apart of that your system needs Cleartype badly ![]()

You should remember, you certainly cannot release this without crediting the original authors. Please keep that in mind before releasing.
How did ya get the shellstyle one the bottom ?
It looks cool.

Working on the borders. You don't think the screen looks weird with clear font on? I can't stand cleartype, it looks screwy on my monitor.

By the time I'm done I won't. I'm replacing everything with my own graphics piece by piece. But I needed some "Milk" examples to guide me by.

You still need to credit the original authors... Even if they are your graphics the theme layout is done by others....
It does look nice thouogh.... good luck ![]()
Might we also recommend you try aero-soft.com as this fits their style.

Negative, I'm aiming more towards an Apple look. How do you get aero outta my screenshot?
well, you used right aligned buttons, grey rounded menus and window inserts, and the colors match.
If you're going for mac, good. Just try to avoid using the same rgb values as Longhorn and use left aligned buttons.
cheers

How do you use left align buttons when making a msstyles theme? I'm not working with windows blinds.

You cannot. If you are making a visual style, you will have to stick with right-handed buttons.
Also I recommend you do this. Right-click Desktop -> Properties -> Appearance -> Effects -> Use following method to smooth edges of screen fonts -> ClearType.
This will make your fonts look much better.

Use microsoft web page for tweaking cleartype an use the other color method (the one with "For some monitors (rare)") maybe it's beacause of you monitor display.

Thanks for the input, thats what I thought about the left handed buttons. I know I've never seen a visual style with them.
Also, I applied the cleartype awhile ago and got it smoothed out. Does look better now. I'll have a more up to date screenshot shortly.
Right now the desktop is a mess.
I think it looks really good. It looks like a really slick cross between milk and aero. Perfect in my eyes, because the only thing I dislike about the aero theme(s) is the black shellstyle.
Look forward to a release! - But, definitely credit the people you got the inspiration from - it's just common courtesy.

hey man, i really like this skin. eagerly awaited. i really dislike the space in my start menu for control panel, favourites, etc. it's looking good ![]()
What a bunch of old grumps!
Read through this thread and count the number of negative/bossy posts compared to the positive ones! The guy is just making a new visual style, give him a break already!
And if one more person tells him to give credit when the damn things not even released Im probably going to have to beat you senseless.
Chill the f*ck out already.
it looks really nice ![]()

btw... is there a possibility of a different start menu button? ie having an apple logo and perhaps something else?

Well here is an updated screenshot. I'm not even sure were I a going with this theme. I might just bocth the whole thing and start from sratch again....
this is looking really good...

Service Pack 2 and I am running all YZ apps, such as YZShadow, YZDock, YZtoolbar, becuase they all use the smallest thumbprints on system usuage.
