Who can tell me ?

it's caused by the memory space allocation problem with certain shell32 files. try reducing its size or take out the avis. that seems to help some people.

I also encountered the same problem seversal days ago.

So I tried the newest version of replacer, and replace the shell32.dll again, now it runs well, no memory problem again.

My experience may be of help to you.

Let me explain what's going on here.

After replacing the system files (with SP2 installed), some people experienced with the problem: an "error " dialog shows up when running some app or installers.

The dialog reads probably like this:

"User32.dll will be re-located in the memory, and this application will not run probably. This error is due to shell32.dll from C:WindowsSystem32 had used the reserved memory block which belongs to Window's DLLs. Please contact the manufactur to get the latest version of the DLL."

I have the exact dialog showed up when I'm trying to install the newest Windows Updates (download from microsoft.com) & Office XP setup. This is really annoying.

I checked, the size of my shell32.dll is 25MB and Flyakite's is 27MB, I'm not sure if the size of shell32.dll does matter, but no one installed Flyakite's SP2 v1.0 seemed to have this problem.

So I wonder is this a shell32.dll problem or a user32.dll problem?

I don't know what else I can to to solve this situation now.

to X-Ray: What do you, do you mean running "copy.cmd" again, and "modify" shell32.dll, and "replace" shell32.dll again? or do you mean opening shell32.dll in system32 folder by Resource Hacker, mod it, save it, and close it?

yes , i mean running "copy.cmd" > "modify.cmd" > "replace.cmd" to re-mod the shell32.dll by BatchMod

the error points directly to shell32.dll. i'd try taking out some avis and see if that helps.
