What you really want seems to be outline fonts plus a shadow radius, correct me if I'm wrong.
hmm i was more thinking maybe a -y and -x option,
not just y and x (in the shadow options) >.<
i dont know whats the easyest way.....
Peace
*cough*Please call me stupid*cough*
but after read youre tut, i'm not any smarter...
acculy i coult find anything in that tut about getting better shadows... ![]()
hmmm
There is an "x" "y" setting in the label tab
1. Enter the desklet's properties dialog
2. Go the tab "Label"
3. Under the "Caption" section hit the button labeled "Settings..."
- Change X and Y values to what you want till it looks good.
- Change the Color and Opacity setting until it looks good.
- Higher opacity and a dark color will make a darker shadow.

Don't give up too soon - we shall see what can be done.
Just got word from Andreas that he is exactly coding that shadows into AveDesk at the moment.
(Where is that champagne opener emoticon when you need it?)
The possible solutions for AD developer are:
1. Use another blur algorithm (for example set maximum to more than 1.0 in blur kernel for Gaussian blur. Experiments are in progress)
2. Increase Alpha value for shadow (f.e. using ColorMatrix in GDI+). This will look more rough, but it's easier.
I've got the same problem in my iConstructor. So when I'll have some results, at least AVe will get my message.
