Soft Aqua 1.1

This is a port of a mac theme by Trevor Rowe. It is a mod of an original theme By Max Rudberg.

Thanks to Trevor for giving me permission to port this theme.

This theme incldues 4 main substlyes for use with Preferences Screens, Explorer windows, the

main windows and firefox. Each Substyle come in blue, traffic with blue close button and

traffic regular. I have only included one "safari" skin for now in the traffic substlye because

the firefox skin is not done yet. Once complete I will add the other styles.

The base and explorer themes are created to only show caption buttons on sizable windows to

make the theme mimic the mac theme better. The system prefs skins should be used for apps like

wbconfig, wfxload, rundll32.exe etc... While I use the explorer theme for explorer windows and

the regular themes for all other windows.

I have also included a nexplorer skin and will be releasing ave app skins shortly. Hope you

Looking good, B! If you dig Kevin Husted's stuff, you may want to try ProSoft Plastic, a mod of ProPlastic and Soft Aqua by 6-Day-Trial. Here's the funmac release thread. This guy goes by another name at the MacNN forums, I forget right now. But you can find him there, too if you search for this theme over there.

what dont you like about the glyphs? There are three styles, traffic, blue and traffic with the blue close button... You dont like any of them?

when I apply this theme there are no buttons on the windowblinds config window?

and on a window the programs icon covers the first letter of the window title

ex firefox loaded on aqua-soft the "a" in aqua soft is covered by the firefox icon in the window title.

two things...

first off windowblinds is a non-sizable window.. I have the buttons set up to not show on any window that is not sizable to be more OSX like. So you need to use the preferences skin under per application settings for windows that should have buttons but are not sizable. Like the windowfx config window and the windowblinds config window.

As for the system icon covering the letters it is just a placement bug.. let me know which substlye has the problem and Ill fix it. Thanks,

Im also getting this problem in alot of your themes with the progress bar (see attached image) not quite sure why though.

Update 9/25 fixes various bugs... replaces some glyph images, fixes progress bars (I hope) adds blue and soft aqua safari substlyes, fixes small scroll bar bug.

This should be the final update to this great theme.

UPDATE 10/7

*now includes 0px borders and the buttons in the preferences skin work now!

* I have inluded a folder called cpl which contains three tiny vbs files. This folder MUST be put in c:program filesstardock or the buttons in the preferences skin will NOT work. Lemme know if you have any problems. I hope you enjoy this theme

I also updated the explorer substlyle and safari substlyes. Safari is now 0px border and the exporer substlye is redesigned to work better with kabals finder bar.

If there is interest... I MAY update this theme and add the plastic variant and the blue menu variant.

Hi,

Im glad you like the skin.. it isnt a yztoolbar skin though. If you use windowblinds the toolbar buttons are included in the skin so these are buttons that I made for this skin.

Oh really? wow, that's even better! Haha, I still haven't installed WB but I've been following the themes here very carefully. I'll end up installing it after my midterm this Thursday, and I'm really into the soft aqua look. I also really like your other skin here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=18992 and i was actually wondering if the Show All / Display / etc buttons you included in there worked, because that's the impression I got. haha, if that's the case, then I'll have even more of a reason to try out your themes come thursday thanks again man, and great work
