[help] Can't Replace Bitmap!

I can't replace the bitmaps 204 thru 207 ... it gives me a message saying there's been a violation. Does anyone know how I can change them?

The bitmap must be a proper 24bit+8bit transparency bitmap image.

It would be easier to use the free resedit. The program will automatically conver the .BMP to a .PNG and back.

You could also save the image as a 24bit bitmap, open it in mspaint, and resave it as a 24+8bit bitmap.

hahah stupid me forgot about the 24bit thing. thanks so much man haha.

sketching is right.Resedit formerly called Resbuild does what reshacker cant do.

Yeah, but how exactly do you replace a resource in resedit ? Its so stoopid.

lol

It should be about the same as Reshacker.

Ex: bitmap #204 inside shell32.dll...

-Open shell32.dll inside Resedit

-navigate to BMP 204

-there should be a pull-down menu labeled "Edit"

-if you haven'y choosen an editor, then choose "Customize Editors..."

-hit the "New" button to make a link, go find the .exe (Photoshop in my case) via the "..." button

-hit "Okay" to keep the choice and go back to the main dialog

-hit the "Edit" button to have Resedit automatically export the bitmap into your chosen editor as a 32bit ping image with all its alpha-blending goodness

-make all the edits you want, when you save the image, Resedit replaces the original with a new proper bitmap

If you don't feel comfortable staying inside Resedit, you can export the new bitmap and import back in when you're ready to work with Reshacker.

To do so you need to know two things.1) Read English 2) Clicking a mouse button. :D

I think everyone can do that. ;)
