Aqua-Soft ForumsIs there a way to tell Desktop X to stop rearranging your icons? I have the recycle bin in the lower right corner...I checked the setting in DX to make my icons large, but any time I change DX settings or restart the machine it insists on lining up my icons down the left side of the desktop with the recycle bin on top. I like the large icons, but I like to have them stay where I put them.

I dont think it has anything to do with DesktopX.
Windows explorer seems to rearrange the icons to the left whenever it's desktop is changing smaller than your position of the icons. Mostly happens with a crash or restart of the explorer... I had the same problem also without DesktopX running.

Right-click anywhere on the desktop --->Arrange Icons By:---> uncheck Auto Arrange or whatever.

That's the first thing I do on a new box...DX still insists on moving the damn recycle bin. I guess the answer is to use TweakUI and take it off the desktop all together and just use the one in Yz Dock
