[help]display Settings

I just bought a new notebook and i installed windows xp pro on it. Everything works fine, but the display only shows 1280 x 1024 and the the notebook is a widescreen. Can anyone tell me how to get it to show on the whole widescreen. thanks in advance

try going to the display properties settings... in the advanced, go to the tab of the video card brand. e.g. nvidia, ati... usually, there's an extra setting there to change the resolution to a manual rate of any size.

if you don't have that tab, then first try updating your video driver to the current.

Go to your vid card manufacturers website and read the instructions found there.

You need to check whether you can change in Display Properites, if not there get the latest video card drivers. For Nvidia its forceware and ATI its Catalyst. If your into gaming I HIGHLY recomend the Omega drivers for Catalyst at http://www.omegacorner.com Also make sure you have the latest .NET installed for control center or whatever for ATI.

Topic Moved.

This belongs in Windows Software, if I'm not mistaken.

Can I also remind people that Aqua-Soft is not LazyChat: Forum Edition.
