[bug] Theme Packaging With Od+

OK, i finally took the plunge with OD+ and i must say i love it. However there are several bugs/lacking features that still make me want for more.

1. Theme packaging - this only packs the zoomer dock. i Tried everything (including trying to pack theme by going to settings from the tabbed dock).

2. Mouse activation for tabbed docks - it just doesn`t work (or it isn`t there). I don`t want my tabs always being on top, i don`t like it to be always on top, and hotspot causes some weird behaviour (when i use hotspot and try to minimize/maximize a windowd by clicking on it in taskbar, the tabbed dock flickers each time i click on the taskbar and window i`m trying to activate isn`t working). All i ask is a simple, a-la zoomer dock mouse over activation.

3. This might be a wild shot but how about tabs being activated on mouseover? Just as an option, it would be really neat if it could do that (maybe with a timer to set the activation period)

4. Sometimes the icons in tabbed dock stop reacting to single click and i need to restart the dock to get them working normally ( they react on double click)

i really enjoy my + experience and i`d like to thank Jeff for all of his hard work on this project. I`ve been an OD zealot ever since 0.6 and i`m glad to see that i`m still in the gang after this much time. And with these few issues i have fixed, OD+ would be my perfect app launcher.

Hey Unbeliever,

Well I'm glad to hear you enjoy it! :) Lets see where we're at on the things you mentioned

1) In a v1.x we're going to be looking to shape up the themeing/packaging, which really isn't up to par with the rest of the new systems. We're going to be looking at being able to save/load single docks one at a time, which I think will be pretty useful for people.

2) For the mouse-activating tabs, just dock them of course and then it'll reshow upon mouseover, the delay is configurable. If you have it set for the tabs to not always be on top when docked, hotspots are your only option. That and then hotspots, Not sure what kind of activation its missing?

3) Nope not a long shot. Not immediate, but its on the list of things we'd like to add in the free v1.x's, maybe sometime like this winter.

4) Haven't heard of that before. Quick question or two maybe you could just have in mind if it happens again, upon changing tabs and changing back might resolve it? Or perhaps waiting a few seconds? Additionally, does this happen at times with an item that was dragged recently or a plugin? or just anything. All just little hints for me, answer any ;)

Workin at the issues, tryin to solve a couple crashes I've been hearing about on the stardock messageboards (first priority) so getting back to other stuff after that. Glad you're still around with us here, its been a long road! ;)

2) Well what i`d like to have is have the tabbed dock act normally (not always on top) and still have it popup when i mouse over the edge where its located. I know about hotspots but as i said in my prev post, when i use hotspot and try to minimize/maximize a windowd by clicking on it in taskbar, the tabbed dock flickers each time i click on the taskbar and window i`m trying to activate isn`t working (it doesn`t minimize/maximize). I do think this is a bug. Hotspot activation would be what i want but this bug is making it unusable. (the tabbed dock is anchored to the top of the screen, under the taskbar). (Also noticed that hotspot activation is a bit too wide. It would be great if we could set up the size for hotspot activation field. For example, if i use hotspot activation for the tabbed dock i have on top of my screen, it will popup if i move the cursor to the upper left/right corner of the screen, even though i set just the hotspot for the middle top hotspot, not the corners)

4. To be honest i didn`t notice the exact time when this happens but i know it doesn`t have to do anything with adding docklets/dragging the shortcuts since i set up my dock at the start and haven`t added/moved/removed anything since then. Also waiting won`t fix it, just a restart of OD+. i`ll take a look at this and let u know.

I also ran into a problem couple times which i forgot to mention. There is a time when OD+ (both zoomer dock and tabbed dock) would just freeze and only way to get it working is killing the task and restarting OD+. The wierd thing is that TaskManager is not showing any excessive or unusual resource usage. CPU was from 1-5%, RAM was from 5-7Mb and handles count (from what i rememeber) was normal. I noticed once or twice it happened when ZoomPlayer was going back from fullscreen to windowed.

I`ll give my best into finding out when these bugs appear and let u know. Thanks for all of ur hard work on OD Jef.
