[wip] Aero-style Website

Here is a mock-up of a skin for my website. It is based on Aero and I used graphics I found in -supposed to be- real Longhorn screenshots. The buttons up top will have functions (about me, downloads, forum, works, homepage, etc..), as well there will be text links on the bottom for *stupid* people who don't know to click buttons . The WinFlag will serve as a skin changer menu when I work on other skins. For now its just pretty . When a button is clicked the content will appear in the white space below it. Also the left will have additional menus (example: the downloads will have wallpapers, icons, misc). The right will have content.

Just a couple of coding questions:

What is the JavaScript for the back and foward? Is it compatible in all browsers or just Internet Explorer?

I've seen custom scrollbars that weren't done in flash (AngryBlue). How can this be done? and does it require an extra program?

If the scrollbar can't be done I will resort to flash parts (buttons/nav in flash & content in flash) for scrollbars and nice button animations .

First of all, I'd recommend not using those buttons - using buttons that imitate the browser's buttons suggests to the user that the buttons will provide the same functions as those on their browser...

If you're going to have buttons, make them distinct from browser buttons (except maybe things like "home", "back", and "forward").

I would also advise against back and forward buttons - if the user wants to go back or forward, they have two buttons right there on the browser, so why would they use yours?

Aside from that, the design doesn't look bad... Not my taste, but not bad, all the same.

btw thx stevie i will not use the icons. instead i will only have the bottom nav but make it more obvious . i'll still use the winflag though.
