[question] Whats With The Search Near Systray?

Alright, I've seen a few visual styles, and I have two installed with the little SEARCH icon, or magnifying glass next to the systray, and in those screen shots there is a search bar under them.

But nothing really happens when I click on the search button on my computer. So whats the trick? Someone mind explaining it to me?

I don't have these visual styles; maybe you could point one out to me. They seem fairly popular in the screenshots.

As for it not working, I'm fairly sure it's just eye-Candy, (or iCandy). I could be wrong, but if there really is a search bar under them, it's probably positioned there, and it's a widget from either- AveDesk, DesktopX, Kapsules, etc...

Again, I might be wrong... Could you send me a link to the visual styles, though?
