Australia won the cricket world cup in the final match versus India. The Indians won the toss, but thanks to the twisted mind of Skipper Ganguly, they had to forsake their batting forte and elect to bowl.
They maintained the required run rate, but their lackluster concentration accounted for their demise. They were all out for 234
If the Indians had elected to bat, they might have had a good chance to win the match, as they had batted first in all their other decisice matches. I really can't believe that they fell 125 runs short, the total they had made for 10 wickets in their other match with Australia. I am too damn sad to post about anything else.
Feel my pain!
