Hey, i dont know what forum to post this in but i thought this would be the one.

I refcently installed a few programs on ym computer (thunderbird, firefox, and kazaa lite resurrection) soon after i did that, i got explorer crahes just like old times sake. i also get a LSA shell error (export version) and a screen that says the computer will whut off in 60 seconds (i do know how to stop the timer) i tried stinger, i tried spybot, norton and adaware but it cant kind the sasser varient doingthis to my machine. i did get smart however and made a restore point before i installed any programs ( i have yet to roll back yet) is there a fix for my problems?

Buy a Mac or go to Linux! ;)

Hehe, seriously though - it sounds more like the Blaster worm to me, personally (oh back in the Winnie days~). But Adaware used to catch that for me..

Googled and found this: http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/winxpcsu.html

Or you can install it from MS' Update Center thingy.

Hey dood. Here in Poland where I live there is an antivirus

app called Mks_Vir. Its verry good with blaster, sasser and all

those other worms. You have to buy the whole app, however

you can download simple small apps from their site to remove

a cetain worm. Its in polish though. You can switch the app to

english once you download it. Go here :

Link

Just choose your worm from the list :)

Hope this helps.
