Destination Chicago... Who Knows The Skinny?

going to be driving up to chicago tomorrow morning (or if it's tomorrow already where you live then i went yesterday)

anyway, never been there before, was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions on things to do... everyone knows about the art institute, sears tower, etc... i want more off the path type of things... cool little bars, etc.

unfortunately, i'm only going to be there until sunday night :( but i want a good time while i'm there.

don't go to the pier, its basically a tourist trap with LOTS and LOTS of shops. its really really really dumb...thats all i got to say. they do have a VERY impressive apple store, and i do recommend looking at NikeTown next door if you are interested, its kinda cool. in fact, look at all of michigan avenue, they have lots of stuff.

I LOVE Chicago. I went there three times within 2 months a year ago (once for car show, once for school trip and once for Senior Skip Day). Seriously, if your with buddies or people that are closer, I would suggest walking around the city at night (we did at 1 - 3 in the morning), it is so beautiful. Sears Tower is OK if you want to see Chicago from a high point, but that is the only good thing about it. Too bad you weren't going a few weeks ago, they were filming Batman Begins there.

There are a lot of little bars around, being 17 at the time, I didn't get a chance to go inside to give you any suggestions.

The NikeTown is cool, but nothing that special.

I just like to spend my time walking around, taking the subway around town. Oh, the beaches are really beautiful also.

Does that equal a:

spent night in hotel room with three hot chicks, nothing happened =

turns off ego switch

That doesn't sound like you had a great time to me?

TV busted? What did you want to see how long the power cord was and threw it out the window?

I am sorry you had such a bad experience, Chicago is a lovely city. Too bad your impression won't be as great, now.

no i'm serious, it was a lot of fun... and it was only 2 women. ;)

i was bummed about the tv because it took them forever to get showered/dressed/changed/hair/changed/makeup/changed/redo hair.
