Aqua-Soft ForumsMercora is a person-to-person network that enables you to find, communicate and share interests with friends and family. Mercora has built a framework for sharing digital content using peer-to-peer technologies to directly connect you with your friends on the network. You do all these things through the simple interface of the Mercora applications.
The main feature of Mercora is it's P2P radio. It allows you to stream your MP3 and WMA files for other people to listen. People all over the world can connect to you and listen to your music. It's kind of like having your own radio station. While you're broadcasting, you can even speak over a mic and everyone will hear you, just like a real DJ! How it works is you make an account, and add some friends. Any of your friends can click your name and connect to your computer and listen to your music. If you play a song in Mercora, it automatically broadcasts that song to anyone who is listening to you! Pretty neat huh? You can join/create groups to build a network of friends. It also has a built in instant messenger, lets you share pictures, gives you a little blog, and some other stuff too.
This is somewhat like Microsoft's 3 Degrees program that was out awhile back. There's no spyware in Mercora, and it's free! The software is beta, but I think it's off to a good start.
