[help] Another Pc Problem

Hi doods.

I just reinstalled windows xp and I have a small app called e-icons

for changeing icons. WHen I want to change an icons and I click

browse to select a replacement, the whole app just disapears all

of a sudden. At first I thought it was just that one app, but then I

realized that other apps were doing it to, always when I browse for

something. Could it be something wrong with comdlg32.dll ?

(the browse window). If anyone can help I would be verry greatfull.

Hmm. I realized another thing. It only happens in apps that

use the classic style browse box instead of the newer one (with places bar).

you might want to try running the app in windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, etc. compatibillity mode. you can do this by right clicking on the app and going to the compatibillity tab.

Nope, kid, I'm not.

I'd expect you to ask something like

'how do I get this ghost thing to work' or

'how do I backup my system so that I don't have to reinstall'

but it seems like you have happily ruined it again
