I Have A Way To Make Windows Look Like Aero Glass

I see lot of posts requiesting an Aero Glass Visual Style or maybe Windo blinds.. etc...

So i think, what program cool make the window borders transparent?,,,

and i have a solution, Y'z Shadow!!

See, y'z shadow give semitransparent effect to all window borders, if anybody could code the y'z shadow again and adds the normal shadow effect , and other glass effect

I represent that thing in 2 pics:

I think the great developers of that comunity will be create a program like that

I think Yz Shadow need to be rewrited to do that, or maybe create a new "AeroShadow"

That appearance are requested for a lot of people , and could be a really cool app :smartass:

*NOTE* you can do an small glass effect if you are using a theme with 1 px border and set the "offset to an inner side propertie" to "0".

I support this idea. I believe that a rewrite in the way Y'z Shadow handles the shadows will do the trick .

Glass2k mades all the windows transparent i think it's better if it's only the border

No, he couldn't. It's AveIconBook - this app uses a different skinning engine than Windows. Windows doesn't support images with 32bit transparency

When I was writing the AveApps code, I was thinking of making an app that would act like YzShadow for windows borders: it's pretty complicated. It requires some hooks, capturing all kinds of windows messages and it wouldn't be really smooth with moving. Not to mention that every window having 4 additional layered windows would slow down the system, at least with the size of the aero borders.

@andrew_: If you do it, please no .NET I don't want to have the .NET assemblies loaded into every process

well if u guys can get this to work anyone mind posting the progress as it goes on on aero-soft? this soudns so very vyer prommising and exciting i cant wait till its done. also if you guys can get this to work, please someone make it so that u can hide the system tray icon, cause thats what annoys me bout yzshadow, u cant get rid of it unless u want that arrow hidding it
