so i'm just going to have to ask again myself. Which file do u modify to change the display settings dialog, for wlalpaper, screensaver etc. I know it's not desk.cpl but i can't find which one it is! help! thanks

Flyakite was able to alter the size of the display properties.
How did he do that? Batchmodding his files (I've a dutch version of XP),
does not alter the seize etc of the display settings, only the icons.
This is done by editting themeui.dll? How, I wonder?

by editing the dialog size, I think batchmod only extract the icons, bmps,avis.
You can change those sizes uses something like "resource hacker" or a simliar program.
