This "clock" can be set to any part of the world and it will show it's time...

I made this using the weather xml... SO you need the WEATHER CODE for it to work...

Sweet! I hate having to convert time zones for my long distance calls.

I never would have thought of using the weather codes for that! Excellent work as usual, Hyral.

Thank ya.

You need to look up the city on weather.com. On the site's search input box, type in the following: City Name, Country Name. (It may be sufficient to type in the city name alone.) Once you do that, you'll likely be given some results. Usually the first one will take you to the weather info for the place you submitted.

Now look at the address bar of your web browser and the trailing code (after the last /) would be the code you need to replace the existing one in the 'World Clock' meter's web address. (The code looks like this: IDXX0022)

I was wondering whether or not we're hitting Weather.com's feed far too much w/ all these weather configs (running hidden and whatnot - I've gotten an IP ban w/ slashdot.org's feed and I was only testing it).

I was trying to figure out VBScript to be able to simply use scripting to figure out the times and offload the weather.com feed at the cost of more work by the end user to configure the ini and vbs themselves. However, I don't think I got anywhere far. I was only able to determine whether Summertime is on or not on the host computer if the host computer happened to be set to a US/EU timezone. Bah!

edit: Darn it, I didn't realize I was the last poster here, didn't mean to double post.

I thought about the same thing. Isn't there another way? :(

#210957

one question how can i remove the label text whiche avedesk 1.1 creates???

#211034

open avedesk control, double click systats:timezonedesk or whatever the timezone one is, go under the label tab, and on the first dropdown menu select no label. ;)

#211037

@ xp - look, you`re either blind or lazy. why is it so hard for you to look around the boards and read the tutorial for AveDesk if i wasn`t lazy to write it (and i have no need for it)?

read the tutorial and the thread, in the future, all posts in this manner will be deleted without further notice

AVEDESK TUTORIAL

PS i don`t wanna look like a bad guy but i`m really sick of people being lazy. And ignorance is not the answer -_-
