I was just curious if this problem is just me. When I started up my PC today, the iCal dockley didn't change the date it still said it was the 28th. Is anyone else have this problem with the docklet?

yup same problem here didn't notice it until right now
however if you u remove the docklet and add it again it allright
but thats really not practical so it would be sweet if we could get this thing to update by itself
Mine updates just fine...sorry you guys are having problems.
Mine adjusts itself automatically, even if I'm screwing around with the time/ date settings in WinXP Pro; as soon as I apply a new date in the dialog, regardless of how great the change, iCal Docklet instantly changes to match the new date.

deadzombie is right. The docklet should update itself automatically. I need to make one thing clear: When you add the docklet, do NOT select an icon for it... The docklet should load with the correct icon. Other than that.. I think it should work fine. Try changing the date on ur system and tell me if you can see an update by the iCal (in around a second or two!).
ps: I am currently working on the next beta release which will, hopefully, include
- link to external program
- date label can be formated (Currerntly formated as "dddd, MMMM d, YYYY")
- anything else?

You're docklet works great for me on my single monitor machine running v0.81...but until Mr Y comes out with a multi-monitor fix, I can't run v0.81 on my work machine - I'm stuck at v0.75. Is there any way to code the DLL to use the "arguments" field in the 0.75 docklets properties box to point to the icon folder?
Right now I have to manually select the icon to use, and when the date rolled over at midnight, I had a blank area on the dock where the icon disappeared...on mouseover it listed the correct date in the icon label text though...so the docklet does work in v0.75...it just can't find the icons to use.
Right now I have the icons in two places...in the main Yzdock icon folder and the docklets/iCal/icons folder...but it ain't findin' 'em.
If it's too much work, I can understand that and I'll just wait until a new Yzdock release...I appreciate the great docklet you've put out. (Y)

My iCal didnt update too =[
and i did all the instructions correctly and i didn choose a icon =[
When the date change while my computer is close, when I start up my computer the date doesn't update, altough if I try to change the date while Yz dock is open, the date update automatically.
I have the good path, I do not selected an icon.

without the hassle it shouldn't be that difficult.
love the Ical 'docklet' for now though...
Has anyone created the progrma that goes along with iCal yet, to schedule appts, etc.?

albeik: Closing the computer was bluebyt's phrase...what I think he means, and what I definitely mean is when I am done with the computer for the day and do a shut down/power off...then power up the next day, the iCal docklet still has the previous day's icon and text label...it's like it missed the date rollover becuase the machine was powered off. However, if I leave the machine running overnight, the docklet changes properly.

No problem...I can guanantee you do much better in English than I would do in whatever your native language is, since all I had was 3 years of French in high school and the brain cells containing that knowledge died a long time ago
