Ripping Audio From A .mov File

I've got a .mov file saved on my computer, but is there any simple way to rip the audio from it, maybe to a .wav or .mp3 file? I can't see anything in Quicktime itself, but surely there must be some way. Anyone know? Thanks for your help

If you want to do it with Quicktime, you have to register Quicktime Pro

Then, in the Edit menu, you choose extract...

Another solution is to use an app like Premiere which can open .mov

I don't know a free way to do it, sorry

Try File -> Export and then use the combos there to select sound to wav.

If you have a SoundBlaster card, you can use the "Record What-U-Hear" feature to record the sound from the movie, and then save it as an MP3.

river past converter is a shareware app that can do that, but it's limited before you pay for it to only 2 minutes for each file... if that will suffice:

another way would be to convert the mov file to an avi and then ripping the audio becomes much easier... link to covert it here:

once you convert it to avi, you can use an app like virtualdub, that has a option to save a wav off of a video.
