[help] Computer Wont Boot, Wont Repair

hello,

i have tried to access my files on my computer and boot up normally for some time now without any success. every time i get to the log in screen it gives me a BSOD with either a STOP: 0x00000050, STOP: 0x0000008e or a 0x000000d1 and says there are somewthing wrong with the files; winsys32 (i think thats the name) acpi.sys and sysaudio.sys

My Specs:

Windows Xp with SP1 (and the sp2 update for windows update only)

20gb samsung hardrive IDE

80gb SATA Maxtor HD

256mb Ram

MSI kt6 motherboard (VIA)

Geforce Fx 5200 video card (Palit daytona series)

400watt power supply

CD,CD-rw and floppy drives

Recently i have installed the following programs or drivers that might be the cause of the problems ( i really dont know but they seem suspicious):

windows media player 10 beta

I converted my samsung drive to NTFS

latest VIA hyperion drivers

geforce drivers(ive tried 56.00 and 61.00)

SATA drivers

BIOS drivers (Via)

thats all i can think of. now you ask, why not just go into windows repair console? well simple, i get one of those BSOD error above before it gets to that point! now both the samsung and maxtor drives give me the same error and i NEED all of the information on the drives. is there a way to fix the problems(like a patch, diagnosis, method), or to get to my files to copy them off(without being IN windows) liek using a network connection.

please help i have been dealingwith this problem for months and now finally its all coming to an end and i really need to save my data

Thank you!,

Pops

why not get the hard drive utility for whatever drive will hold windows... many times they have a "file manager" included so that you can copy off data to another drive before you format it... copy the info off the 20gb to the 80... format the 20... then reinstall windows on it...

just install windows to a drive that will boot with out reformating the drive. All the info will still be there (with the exception of a few default programs like WMP and MSN messanger willg et overwriteen, it wont even overwrite system files if you designate a diffrent folder for instalation) None of your documents or any other folder will get whipped out though. Make shure you dont reformat the drive tho, otherwise you will whipe out everything.

wouldn't you think it would benefit to get a fresh start... i've never had great results with repairing/installing over an existing O.S.

well i've had it with my system! im about to throw it out the window. I cant start it up using the recovery/repair mode on the windows xp disk cause i get a BSOD. i cant boot normally cause when it gets into windows after i log on i get either a Page fault in nonpaged area, a registry_error, or something that has to do with a driver. Could this be a very tricky virus? if so can i make a boot disk and clean it out without getting into windows? if it isnt a virus, how can i tell what the problem is? and if all else fails, can i use my network to transfer files if i cant boot into windows?
