howdy! say, can someone riddle me this..
i have my global settings set to single-click as opposed to double-click. and yet, searchbar is the only app that obeys this setting. all other apps (sysstat weather, and avetunes) require double-clicks for all actions. am i missing something?

It could be because the first click is to get the focus and bring it to the front. Also, sometimes it takes a little while for the first click to do anything. Just click once and wait a few seconds to see if that is also the problem.
thx, wizard. i'd already thought of those 2 possibilities. perhaps i should dig deeper into the ini's. is it possible that there's an override to the global settings in these apps?
hey, guess what? as soon as i locked position on my apps (well avetunes, at least,) it went into single-click mode. hmmm...didn't know that. well, mystery solved!
that`s a known "bug" in AD. Once u lock the desklets, they became single click activated 
well, now it's known! (Y)
it`s been known for some time, trust me 
BUT, on the other hand: If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you hire THE A-TEAM. . :woot:
