You can drag the CD icon into the trash, that's the same as pressing the eject button... a little odd that the button isn't doing it tho, what mac is it?
There is no cd in the drive...
Command + E on the desktop I think. Sephs a Mac user, so now I actually doubt it because he probably would have said something.
Hmm that doesnt work Juno.. ? + E only works when selecting a drive to unmount...
I dont know myself. Specially because he said without the keyboard...

Sounds almost like he wants to remove the drive itself...
To open the CD tray (assuming he's got one in that particular mac) in emergencies you can wedge a paperclip into the tiny hole next to the tray, then the tray pops out a little bit. Is that what you want?

He has no mac keyboard (at least not one with the eject key)
He has no cd inside the drive (thus, the cd is not mounted in finder and cant eject it as a consequence)
He wants to open the tray (without the keyboard)

Then just press the button on the drive/tray itself!
And if you have a G5? (ie no drive button) 
Add an Eject button to the Toolbar (View->Customize Toolbar) in Finder windows and use it to eject CD's).
Use the eject button, menu item, or keyboard shortcut in iTunes, Disk Utility, Toast, or any program that has an Eject Disc command.
You can also navigate to system/library/coreservices/menu extras and double click the eject menu file and you will have an eject icon in the finder bar.......
WOW, now that is an answer 
sorry could no clear things sooner, was busy in classes.The computer is power mac g3 to which a logitech usb keyboard is attached and it does not have an eject button on it. The computer is in my school's lab. I wanted to know how to eject the cd tray so that i can put a cd in it. One way i did find was to go to iTunes and then use the eject command from it. i wanted to know if there is any other way.

another way is to hold the mouse button down during startup... that replaces the shove a paperclip in the drive method
can't you go to finder and hit the eject button on the drive? o.O
Can't you read the thread and realize that he wanted to know how to eject it WITHOUT a cd in the drive?
