i dont know what to select...at home its 56k (at best running 44k), but my parents are thinking about cable (i'm pushing them as much as i can)....and here in my dorm its shared T3 connection
768kbps ADSL is quite fast, but I am thinking of upgrading to 8012kbps ADSL, that's about a megabyte per second download speed.

Yeah I'm happy, with 768kbps ADSL I can download a divx movie (say 1 cd) in about 2.5 hours. For 50$ a month
But I saw a guy with 8192kbps ADSL download a cd in about 18 minutes that is much faster. He pays about 150$ a month.
Aw hell im gonna go with VDSL 155.52 Mbps.
I got my cable modem today, it is sweet! I'm getting like 200-300 kbps download speed, which I can hardly even fatham. It is such a HUGE difference from my *cough* 2 kbps *cough* downloads yesterday. I keep thinking i need to get my eyes checked or something. I think I may need a new hard drive... so many downloads... not enough hard drive space...!!! This is sweet.

I have 4 mbps wireless
At uni i have a shared T3 connection.
But since all the computers in the dorm are linked at 100Mb/s someone set up a direct connect hub.
Downloads at 11 MB a second! or a whole cd in under a minute
