I know this isnt new but many people might not know about it....so why not share. 
This is a program that drives Photoshop through OLE automation. It is used by selecting multiple files, entering the name of the action you have recorded, and clicking a button. The images are quickly processed and copied to a new folder. It has its own intuitive window.
