[release] #40 Ave Tunes

Here is a skin for ave tunes. Named cause it was the 40th skin in ave's folder.

includes rating

This only works with the latest version of avetunes

please note... there are two ways to use ratings. open up the desklet properties and under itunes interatcion there are two options. One allows you to use the typical itunes rating system which goes in increments of 20 while uncheckin the box allows you to rate in any increment. Check it out.

Incredible. Absolutely what I was looking for.

Just an FYI: AveDesk can't display certain types of fonts. I know all Lucida Grande's aren't the same, but mine wouldn't show up. If this happens to you, just edit the skin.ini file and change the font to Lucida Sans or something you know to work.

Again, fantastic work. Just out of curiosity, how to I change the position of the text? It defaults to left, but it'd be to mod myself centered and right versions as well.

[edit] I was going through the settings file, and I'm wondering how you enable the progress bar. There's no "knob.png" included, so I tried the "stretched" version, but it's not showing up. Is this something I'm doing wrong? [/edit]

I have a quick question about the alignment. How do I get the text to line up with the right side of the control rectangle?

[edit2] lol, I feel dumb asking you all these questions. I succeeded in moving the text to its proper position, but now it gets cut off on the left side. Is there any way I can fix that? Here's a screenshot: [/edit2]

okay....

the problem is the image was designed for hte left corner

it includes traspnarent space on the right to accomodate larger song titles. If you invert the image in photoshop then move the text back to its origininal settings the only thing you will have to edit will be the progressbar positions and the button positions and the rating. Figure out how much you need to move them and change the value left= for each one. if you cant figure it out ill do it for you

small update

I changed the background to hopefully look better on darker desktops. It should basically look the same on light desktops. Just tyring to make it better....

@everyone...

i made some slight changes to the buttons and ratings stars to make them look better on darker backgrounds. They look slightly darker on light backgrounds now. If you liked the way it looked befor just set the alpha transparency to like 200 in the desklet properties.

i have a question. i installed the skin and i have itunes and everything and it plays fine and the buttons work perfectly. But for some reason the Artist and Song title does not show up on my desktop when a song is playing. Can someone please help me?

If the info isn't showing up it means you don't have the font that BZ has specified in the skin. Open up the Skins .ini file and edit all the text values to Arial or whatever text you would like it to be (the font you choose has to be spelled exactly as it shows up in your windows fonts folder.)
