[help] Windowblinds List In Desktop Properties

Hello,

I am using Windowblinds 4.3 and have loaded bzeitler's new versions for Tiger and Panther. Somehow when i go to Desktop Properties -> Appearance tab, I can see all the other skins in teh list but not these skins? Is anything special about these skins?

Thanks,

Did you have the old versions before? The names probably didtn cahnge in the skin list. I could delete your old tiger and panther first then install the updates.

Hey the man himself..amazing..

Let me first thank you for creating such wonderful skins..even if some of them are mods...The skins are amazing.

Actually I am using the 4.3 version since a long time and have isntalled the skins after that. Also somehow i just installed the Aqua Milk of yours and it works fine. When i double click on the .wba file, there is a notification saying that a new skin has been installed, I didnt get that for your tiger 3.5 and panther 2 skins

Its because Windows doesn't like the . (point) in the directory of the skin and the tiger skin is Bz Tiger 3.1 (very nice skins btw ;)) They will show up in the Windowblinds config window though.

Replace the . (point) or change name this .wba for view list. please OK? Thanks.

Well I tried that but it still does not show up in the View List. Any more suggestions ?

I tried renaming the .wba files before installing - Didnt work !

I tried renaming the folders after installing - Didnt work !

I tried adding these entries manually to the .CAT file - Didnt work !

Is there a more relevant forum for this kind of post ?

Thanks

Easist way is to rename the skin is in SkinStudio, else you'll have to edit each uis|sss|ssd file and replace all the 3.1 to 31 (using the Tiger skin as an example) as well as the directory and probably some file names too.

I still dont understand why you dont change skins using the windowblinds config window? It is faster than display properties anyway. Then you wotn have to rename anything. Anways I will rename the skins for the next version. :dunno:

Well the reason why i dont use Windowblinds config is becuase i want to change the fonts and their sizes which i cant do using WIndowblinds, but i can use the Advanced button on the Appearance tab and change the fonts of individual elements
