[release] Vl Modded System Files

Today, finally, I'm happy to introduce you first system modification in Russian. Some time ago i had nowhere to host them. But now these files are even better! Including latest security patches from Microsoft, drag'n'drop cursors, modded browselc (made by iMax), original blue energy star image and miscellaneous adjustments they're ready for everyday usage without crashes. You don't have 30'' monitor ... then say NO for resized window layots in other modded sysfiles, use common Windows dialogues with OS X specially chosen graphics :naughty: . Forget wizards, assistants will help you to manage your OS.

If you're new, please read this thread before.

Intended only for Windows XP SP1 (Home or Professional). Keep in mind, these files are in RUSSIAN and if you don't have cyrillic fonts installed you will have some difficulties.

I decided not to make an installer and let you choose which components you need:

System DLLs (without shell32.dll)

Shell32.dll

System CPLs (including some third-party)

Windows accesories (without iMail express)

:smartass: You might ask me why they're called Panther and why SP1. The answer: russian SP2 is not out yet as Tiger. I'm sure, you know how many interface improvements were put to Panther since WWDC2003 till October 25 (the release day). But I alredy have some nice ideas for new sysfiles

*Remarks

1) If you're using Themebar (probably modded to IE: mac 5.2) don't replace your original browselc.dll. Othervise Themebar will not work.

2) This release includes completely english user32.dll (dialog images, window titlebar right-click menus). It's stable and it's up to you use it or not.

3) All used images are property of their respective owners.

And the last. Tomorrow, 20 August the "Step ahead" site will be relaunched. Totally new articles, reviews, tutorials and downloads.

caN i use batchmod and export them to english files?

You can try, but the english ones will not be the same. You'see there are a lot of misc. word corrections (russian), window layot fine adjustments. And you should use english browselc.dll from iMax's site. Besides, i'm worry about 128px icons compatibility. So it's up to you. Feel free to make english version

I really cant say much...it looks nice from the thumbs...the images take forever to load.....maybe you can get upload them to Screen Shots Gallery... :naughty:

>.< I'm only on 56k modem. If somebody could do this... BTW what download speed from spymac you have? I tested several times and got full 5kb and one of my friends totally 26-30kb/sec - that's high speed for free hosting, I guess :woot:
