[ Help ]need Help After Unistalling Flyaikite 6.0

Hi Everyone, Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i just unistalled flyaktie 6.0, click ll the boxs for unistall, then said to reboot, i reboot and everythign looked finall until, it would get to login screen. The problem is it wont get to login screen, after the windows XP logo loads witht he blue bars, a box flashes that says windows is starting up, then the screen goes black, with only my cursor visible. This is my first PC, i have always used a mac. Now i not sure if unistalling a program that modified my system files has anything to do with it. But i booted from the Xp Cd to do a reapir, but it says no hard drive is connected. i have no clue what to do now. Please help me, If worst comes to worst i will do a clean install but im hoping theres is a quick fix or at leas a fix that would not involve a clean install of XP.

any suggestions.

Erm...you're not supposed to uninstall it. That's what happens.

Boot from teh XP CD and repair the installation (either that or reinstall without format).

Unfortunately this just happend to me, I used flyakite's unistaller, and it didnt boot. I tried entering safe mode, but that was in vain. Ultimately, I had to reformat my HD :cry: There should be a warning or something before you attempt to unistall, that this might happen.

Bah, I too had to reformat, nothing I used allowed me to get back into Windows after the uninstalliation of Flyakite.

Same here, only I had to do a temporary install of windows so I could back up all of the digital pictures on my computer (which I put on cds like I should have done in the first place.) Almost lost all the pictures of my son's life so far.

Either way, the computer needed a good re-install anyways.

I guess that system restore would be the best bet, but you'd lose anything you did after the sytem files were installed (assuming that you set a restore point before you installed the mod)

Otherwise, a reformat works.
