I second that wish. And I want to add:

Someone, go write a uniform media control remote with a similar API as the

iTunes COM API and let developers familiar with plugins for their favorite player

code plugins for it. Then, lets have this standard cemented by the W3C.

That would end the endless 'give me foobar, winamp, freeamp, breadamp and

butteramp support' cries with minimal effort divided on more coders.
