[help] Photoshop And Pngs

Hello.

I have Photoshop 6, and whenever I try to save something as a PNG, the picture's background is transparent, as I want it, but the shadow is black instead of semi-transparent. I have tried interlacing and non-interlacing options, and got the same result. Does anyone have a solution?

Are you saving as a PNG-24 or a PNG-8 128 Dithered? Therein might lie the problem.

the only option is PNG, and it asks you if you want interlaced or none

edit: nevermind I found the problem. I was working with a transparent background, so I didnt know how it looked with a white background. thanks anyway
