[help] Hack Xchat Win32

Hello i'am wondering how to hack the xchat win32 icos as below :

I've never used Xchat, but I'm assuming you could just open the .exe with reshacker, and change the icons in there.

Thats what i did but it doesnt work, the ico in explorer is ok, but when i launch the app, both tray and program ico are default.

(i changed all icos into the exe with reshacker)

I can do the windows version in half a second. I dont know about linux...

juno: i will see that in few hours i will reboot my comp. And yes its for the windows version. Btw do you reshack the xchat.exe only to have that trick works ?

I checked all the dll files that it puts on the computer and, unless the installation log is lying, the only way to change the icon is to change the exe (use eXeScope, google it) or the registry. Im no good at registry keys.

juno: i have downloaded exescope and when i open the xchat.exe i find the same things that i have with reshack. if i open the reshacked xchat.exe i have in "Ressource/Icon/XC_ICON" the icon i want. can you explain me better please what you done to change with a exe hacker the ico.
