Earlier, Duckie submitted his XP desktop screenshot to resexcellence and they accepted it (I was surprised):

Then, someone posted their Mac shot with a stickie "ripping into" Duckies shot saying "SUPPORT APPLE BUY A MAC!!!"

Little does he know, Duckie has both a Mac and a PC. Just a little funny I think is all. 
It's an example of the kind of publicity we don't need, which would not happen if he was not searching for the stage light. It's a dumb move to begin with.

I'm actually surprised they let that shot through moderation. They say in their submission guide no windows shots.
I also actually don't think it's a good idea either in light of recent events. But who am I to judge?
Although I also think maybe the shots there should be kept just for OSX shots. I don't even think linux shots are appropriate for resexcellence. That's just my opinion though.
Like, I theme my computer how I want, but I still say what it really is, which is windows. I never post my shot into sections that it's not like putting a XP with Mac theme shot into a Mac screenshot section somewhere.
Or one of my old linux emulating desktops at a linux themes site. It kinda cheapens the site for those looking for what is really supposed to be there.
I also think it might not be good if "elppa" saw it and thought maybe the iapp clones where not taken down and did something more drastic.

Yeouch.. though, I'm still surprised they'd want a windows shot no matter how mac like it may or may not be.
The other guy (on the site) also assumed you are just out to "rip Apple". "SUPPORT APPLE, BUY A MAC!!!"
The rest was just my honest opinion. Nothing against you personally.
My main point which I started off with is that I don't think you deserve to be "ripped into" (as was described on that other guys shot). But my other opinions still stand too.
If Duckie and Grusic got into an "alienate the forum members" fight, who would win?
