[help] Splash Screens...again.

Hi all,

I reformatted recently for an SP2 install, and it seems the only customization I forgot to back up was my Office 2000 programs, which all had custom splash screens.

Now I can't remember how I managed to get them working. I did a search through the forums, and found the old thread that got me started, but I can't make Splasher work with my files, and I can't find copies of the splash screens I was using.

So I was wondering if you guys could dig through and post some Office X-ish splash screens, and maybe suggest how I could get the screen replacements to work. I remember I did it through ResHacking, but I can't find any of the bitmap files this time through...

where did you look? i'm sure you already tried the .exe files.

All the EXEs, all the DLLs... I'm stumped on this one.

But I KNOW I did it once before... I remember at least one person commenting that my splash screens weren't normal when I was doing presentations with this computer last year... But I can't figure out how the hell I altered them last time.

Dammit, I knew I'd forget to back up something... :chair:

have you tried looking in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033 ?

there are some dlls in there.

I've managed to cover every folder and subfolder in that directory. Either I've missed it on every single one of the several searches I've done, or its not in there.
