Personally I'd say the folder needs more highlights (or brightening), and less shadows (or less blurry shadows).

heres another one...
it looks alot better than the first one.. maybe try a different angle, everybody i'm sure would want something different if this was to become a full icon set..
keep it up though there's lots of potential
i have to say, that i'd prefer the first one. that's something new, never seen something like that before. i think, it might be difficult, to keep a set of icons of this style interesting (cause it's grey, doesn't shine and so on), but i like it.
(think of mattahan - just do something new! ;-) )
