Cheapest Place To Buy Software...

Now that I'm soon to be starting school, I'll need to purchase some software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Ryno3d, and the Macromedia Suite. Does anyone know any legit places that sell legit licenses to any of those software titles? Would like the fullversion and if possible to get any sort of student discount.

Never thought school would cost so darn much :(

Your school should have a store (I assuming your in college). Check there first it should have cheap discount on software. Also many software vendors have student discounts, so all you would have to do is prove you go to college. If you asking for an online store, I can't help you there, sorry

School stores are sometimes a cheap place to get software. If you want to take a trip to Thailand, you can get any software you want for a dollar a program or an DVD you want a few weeks before its out in theatres! While your at it, you could get an ipod clone for $10 USD.

For a real option, go here:

just so we don't duplicate any efforts you already did, what places did you already look at?

are you looking for these for your win or mac?

also, the adobe suite, i know they have a few versions... scad/no scad? (big price difference there... ~$1200 vs ~$400)

the "ryno3d", should that be "rhino3d"? i've heard of the latter...

All those companies will do Educational Discount but you need to get a signed confirmation from your institution.

Once thats done you will generally save between 25%-50%. Sometimes more.

sorry for the confusion... i just read more about it, the scad stands for 'Savannah College for Arts and Design'... it's only available to students and faculty of that college, it must be a special package... i'm not sure what's different about it, they both seem to have the 5 apps... $900 more, though....

you should just search on google for student software, a slew of sites are out there that offer academic licenses...

can you say suprnova :bleh:

edit whoops didn't read you wanted a legit liscence

i think you could get it cheap off your school campus. usually they sell cs & smx04 for maybe 200-400. much better than the 1000+ you would pay getting the non-edu one. the sad thing is when you start it up the splash says "EDUCATIONAL"

here at uconn they sell all of those titles at the co-op for educational discounts. its a great way to get legit licenses...and they are much more inexpensive as well

I'd check your local co-op where you will be going Timan and see if they have them there. or you can just come up to uconn sometime and I'll buy them with you
