Hi. You know, when you hit save in MS word, or other programs, you get the standard buttons to the left...History, My Documents, Desktop, Favorites, My Network Places...is there a way to change these options? That would be lovely, and save me a lot of time... ![]()
Customizing Save As Dialogs...
I don't have it installed at the moment but IIRC TweakUI can do this
where can I find this?
I have The MS PowerToys TweakUI. I looked through it...it has the option to change the buttons, but I had to choose between eight options. I wanted to know if I could have to link to one of my folders...![]()
well, you could DISABLE it like I did, coz I use 72x72 icons and it looks NASTY. I use X-Setup to disable it. Use this 'toy' carefully!
Did you try typing the path in the box?
I use PowerToys For Windows XP from Microsoft....it allows me to disable the damn thing altogether b'coz when you use 128 x 128 icons, they simply don't fit into the 'Places Bar' as it is called.....
anyway you can get tweakui for windows xp here

Yup, I also did what Sid did.
it doesn't work for office, for the other apps, it works !
Ah...but I have office 2k
And I want to keep it there...I just want it to like to the folders I use most often. Rarely do I save onto the desktop, and I don't have a network. ![]()
Ahh...I did search on google. I was just hoping there was a way that didn't involve the registry...
Thanks anyway ![]()
Actually, yes.
Took a few trys though. ![]()
oh...I thought that was for Windows XP...not Office XP...
