[request] As A Real Desktop!

Did anyone try DesktopX? Many things are great in it... But it's heavy, it can't use labels, it has few effects for icons and so on... I like AveDesk... But there's something I have to ask...

I wonder is it difficult to make icons behave as IconXes in DesktopX? Fully drag-n-dropped, can interact with Explorer, ObjectDock and other apps... As you can understand, I tell about fully-functional desktop replacement utility... I believe AveDesk will be such software... Am I right?

The desktopgrabber module that is currently in development will be capable of

doing this. Don't hold your breath, it takes some time for these things to mature.

As for universal drag'n drop, which means a complete shell replacement, well

this is very far in the future if it is at all, IMHO.

The capabilites of this app are immense and still being dwarfed by its potential

that is about to unfold before our very eyes; so you might be right.
