"program Files" Folder Customization

I was reading a tutorial by Nobski at AquaXP about changing "Program files" folder to "Applications"

http://www.aquaxp.com/forum/index.php?act=...t=ST&f=13&t=260

and wondered: may the same method registry editing)be used in order to customize the folders inside "Program files" (i.e. Outlook express to Electronic mail or whatever you want).

Please post any trick you know...

I think what was meant that if you go inside the newly-named Applications folder, can you change the "Outlook Express" folder to "Electronic Mail" or "Windows Messenger" to "iChat" or whatever.

Yeah Cerebral, that's it.

I have already achieve what you show me Cassiel (in spanish), but know I want to customize deeper inside ;) and also get rid of some folders...

I supose that I'm not the only who feels, at least, curious at this...

BTW nice desktop Cassiel

Yep you can. :)

I'll write something up sooner or later... It should be pretty easy to do... (well I hope so)....

Great! I have been searching the whole day and someone told me at Virtual Plastic that PC MAGAZINE (I don't know which issue...) gave an application called Coa32 that allow us to customize programs folders.

Nobski if you need any help I may help you because my XP partition is just formated and I am not afraid of trying "extreme" configurations.

:) I've formatted my pc about 25+ times. :) -You can pretty much rename anything. lol.

Just go crazy for a day or two with the registry. :P (Not insane though. When you are insane, reason is not an issue)...

Remember, If you mess up you can format over and over. ;)

hehe, I formatted my pc 7 or 8 times yesterday :) I'm afraid it may damage my hard disk... but I'll keep trying...

I replaced "Internet Explorer" string in the registry for another different string, but the "new" explorer does not execute...
